The Golden Idol stands alone.
Player starts with a 25 card shuffled deck consisting of 16 Minions, 4 Castles, and 5 Idols. 9 cards are dealt onto a 3×3 altar, face-up. The rest of the deck is displayed face-up, and cards can be placed from top of deck into empty altar spot at any time.
| Card | # | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Castle | 4 | May be pushed. |
| Giant | 4 | May push an adjacent Castle, Idol, or Minion. If an Idol or Minion falls off the altar, a Curse must be placed in any open altar spot. Curses can’t be moved and block push attempts. |
| Wizard | 4 | May destroy adjacent False Idols and Curses. |
| Shapeshifter | 4 | May swap with any minion on the altar. |
| Saboteur | 4 | May kill an adjacent minion. |
| False Idol | 4 | May be pushed or destroyed. |
| Golden Idol | 1 | If alone on the altar (including curses), you win the game. If it leaves the altar, you lose the game. |
| Curse | — | Can’t be moved and blocks push attempts. A Wizard may destroy it. |
Player may activate any number of trial cards. Activating these triggers a new game to start.
